Beauty Bin - April 2018

I can't believe I'm already doing April's beauty bin, this year feels like it's flying - or is that just me? Either way here's a fresh new batch of empties. I actually love seeing what products I've used throughout the month, I didn't realise how much I go through to be quite honest. Also, I've jumped on the Lightroom presets bandwagon so I'm trying out some new look for photos, let me know what ya'll think. Onto the good stuff...

Imperial Leather Strawberry and Vanilla Shower Gel - I will say this one hundred times but I have a serious love for fruity sweet scents whether that's in my bath products, hair products, perfumes etc. I'm all for them. So the sweet Imperial Leather shower range is my go to right now and they're all so cheap. You can get the range for 90p/£1 is most supermarkets and drug stores.

The Body Shop Strawberry Bath Bomb - Everyone who knows me knows I am a huge Lush fan, completely obsessed. However, it's very easy to spend a large sum of money in store if you're not careful. The Body Shop Bath Bomb's are only £1.50 and come in a variety of sweet scents which you can see here.

Primark Unicorn Kisses Body Spray - Primark have really come far in terms of not just their clothes but their entire beauty selection too. I think this little perfume bottle was no more than £2.00, yes it's small but I never wore it daily. It was a fresh and subtle scent so it actually was perfect for everyday use, it's just I'm a body spray hoarder and have a lot to get through. This bottle was purchased from the Watford Primark store and I haven't seen it in my local sadly, so I guess stock varies store to store.

Superdrug Vitamin E Radiance Face Cream - Face creams are very hit and miss for me considering my oily/combination skin type. This seemed to work a treat for a while but wasn't quite as moisturising as I needed, which is why I've since switched to the Naturally Radiant Face Cream since which works so much better for me, along side the Rose Hip Seed Oil from The Ordinary.

Cantu Shea Butter Deep Hair Treatment - I'm not able to find a link to this hair mask but it was from Superdrug for £2.99 I believe. My hair is very dry from years of straightening and heat damage, oops, so I've started making an effort more with treatments and deciding which shampoo and conditioner I buy. Ideally I need to buy a tub of deep conditioner rather than packs but I still haven't got round to this. I definitely recommend deep conditioners for afro type hair, it does make the whole combing/detangling process a lot less painful.

Yes To Blemish Fighting Paper Mask - Truth be told I only picked this up as it was on offer for £1.25 at the tills in Boots, so of course this caught my eye. I've seen this brand over on Instagram but also whilst I worked for ASOS, I just never thought to invest in it. The mask wasn't anything out of the ordinary though, I still prefer the Garnier one's. I probably wouldn't buy it again.

Garnier Micellar Water, Oil Infused - I've since brought a second bottle of this. I use it for everythinggg. Before applying makeup alongside my moisturiser, to take makeup off and after a shower as part of my night routine. Even though yes my skin can be very oily I find this water just makes makeup sit better and it does a great job of removing my mascara (which is super stubborn.) The bottle lasts ages as you really don't need a lot once it's been applied to a cotton pad. If you think the oil infused one isn't for you, there's plenty of others in the collection just here.

Sure Bright Bouquet Roll On Deodorant - Roll on deodorant  has been a preference (over spray) for probably just over a year now. I used to always opt for a spray but much prefer roll on now. I can't even say why, I think they're just far more compact and feel like they last longer.

B. Pure Sensitive Micellar Cleansing Wipes - Ah these were my absolute go-to makeup remover wipes for months and months and months. Superdrug always had them on Buy one get one or half price. Although when you wear makeup everyday, you get through a lot of wipes. I've recently just switched to basic baby wipes from Asda/ Wilkinson and even brought a twin pack of face wipes for £1 from Primark. I use a cleansing lotion alongside removing my makeup as well as the micellar water and a face wash to thoroughly remove my makeup and just don't feel the need to splurge on branded wipes anymore.

Palmer's Manuka Flower Honey Protein Pack Deep Conditioner - Definitely my favourite compared to the Cantu brand. Really nourishing and makes all the difference to my hair once it's been left on for 15-20 minutes.

Palmolive Chocolate Passion Shower Gel - Mmm. A new favourite shower gel of mine, would I buy this again? hell yeah. It's so chocolatey without smelling sickly or too over powering. Another bargain for 90p as well - woop!

Lush Rosy Cheeks Face Mask - This was part of my very first blog post which you can view here. I think this is a hit and miss product for my skin, depending on what I'm using along side it. I'd probably buy it again if it wasn't for the price. At £7.50 it's quite expensive and doesn't have a long expiry date, due to it not being one of their self preserving pots. I'm still very much in love with the Mask of Magnaminty mask which lasts so much longer as it is self preserving.

Origins Mega Mushroom Skin Relief Face Pod - Getting deja vu writing about this one so I believe it may well be in my March favourite's post too. I really do need to eventually invest in the full size of this, but for £3.00 per pod you can get at least 4 uses out of the mask (depending how much of your face you cover.) I tend to only do my cheek areas, so it does last me quite some time.

Nyx Matte Finishing Spray - At one point I wouldn't wear makeup unless it was finished with this spray. Even though it wouldn't keep my makeup any better than if I didn't use the spray. So I've finally stopped buying it. Don't get me wrong, it definitely works well for some people... like always it depends on your skin and which products you're using alongside the spray. I just feel personally I no longer need a finishing spray for my skin as my powder (MUA Cosmetics Translucent) works very well for me, £4.00? Bargain.

Imperial Leather Marshmallow Bath Cream - Another sweet treat for the bath tub. Not much else I can say that I didn't already say for the Strawberry & Vanilla shower cream. Sweet, cheap and I will definitely be buying again.

Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask - I recently completely abandoned my skin care routine after coming down with tonsillitis, fun right? So I'd seen these Garnier mask's around a lot and thought I'd give them a go. Of course I went for the 'super hydrating' which really did make a difference. So much so that I would love to stock up on these, will have to add this to my list of the one hundred other things I want.

What's your opinion?
